Week 8B

Today I continued to work on my animation. Here is my first animation that I did in class.


After I received feedback on this, I then revised it to make this design.

Week 8A

Today, I started by finishing my storyboard for the opener/ closer project.

After this, I started animating. This is what I got done.

Line Project

This is the video of the line project. In this, we made an animation of a line showing a specific emotion/ personality trait. The image shows what emotion different people thought it was and what it really was.

Logo Illustrator Storyboard

Week 6B

Today we started our project for animating  logo for an opener or an end tag. Today, we looked at different company logos and chose the one we wanted to do. The one I chose is Stark Industries, a fictional company from the Marvel Comic universe.

Stark Industries is a scientific research and development company. The main technology it is known for is it's weapons technology and alternative energy, in particular Arc Reactor technology and Repulsor Technology. Despite this, it still develops many other forms of technology and appliances.

Here is a quick storyboard sketch of one idea that I had in class.

It is very simple all it is is a blank screen opening like a machine to reveal the logo. I still need to figure out how I would style the logo.

Another idea that I had was having the screen completely dark and then have a blue light shine through the text like there is an arc reactor behind it.

Phrase Project

This is the animation of a line from The Lord of the Rings said by Frodo Baggins. He is quoting his uncle Bilbo in it.

Week 4B

In this class we made storyboards of what we want our text to do in our next project.

Rhythm

Week 3A

Today in class we presented a few of the dreamscape projects that were due. We then went over what rhythm and pace are and we got started on our project that is due next week. Here is what I made in class.

Dream Video

Here is my video for the dream project.

Dream

One dream that I had (that I can think of) is is that I somehow get superpowers, but they always keep changing. There is no actual "origin story" of how I get them, but it starts with me having the same powers a Spider-man and I am helping him fight against Sandman. Before the fight is over, I find myself with the X-Men, with the ability to control plants and animals. The only thing that I remember from this is that Rogue's life-force draining ability had no affect on me and my one friend had Wolverine's abilities.

Week 1A

The first class of the semester, all we did was go over the syllabus and all the different requirements for the class. We also talked a bit about what motion design id and different areas of it.
